  • After completing his Degree in Cardiac Surgery 26 years back he has worked as a consultant in Delhi, Dubai, Damascus Syria, Tripoli Libya and various prominent hospitals in Mumbai.
  • He has done Cardiac Surgery Fellowships from Rome, Italy, Barcelona, Spain & Hanover , Germany.
  • He has done more than 3,500 Cardiac Surgeries.
  • He has many firsts to his credit like First reported case in the world surgery for Isolated Tricuspid Stenosis . First Surgeon in India to do left main Coronary Artery Surgery (17th case in the world), OPCAB for Jehua’s Witness without even using cell saver. First Surgeon in Maharashtra to do MIDCAB Multi vessel CABG (Total Arterial Revascularisation).
  • One of the key members of the team which started “Beating Heart Surgery” in India.
  • One of the first few in India who are specifically trained for Cardiac, Lung Transplantation, ECMO and Ventricular Assist Devices.
  • Has presented and published 27 paper articles nationally as well as internationally.
  • He has treated /operated many celebrities in Bollywood and Politics, most celebrated being our Ex-Prime Minister Mr Narsimha Rao.
  • He has been instrumental in starting various Cardiac Surgery programs in 8 centres all across India.
  • Worked extensively to improve the quality of Cardiac Surgery and to reduce the cost of it.
  • Has been actively involved in creating awareness in the Medical field by delivering lectures, arranging seminars across Maharashtra and India. Has been actively involved on panel discussions and interviews on various TV channels for the last 15 years.
  • Recipient of different awards like Giant International & Matrusanstha Puruskar
  • Has been actively involved in counselling free of cost for students who wish to pursue their medical course.
